Cashmere Realm is a German-Nepali joint venture company established in 2009. We are located in Hamburg with a branch office operating out of Kathmandu. The team consists of our product-design, sales/marketing and IT-department in Hamburg and our sourcing, quality-control and logistics department in Kathmandu.
We are all about cashmere and endeavor in creating the perfect shawl! Our collection features a distinguished, high-quality line of pure cashmere pashmina items. Our products are manufactured exclusively from premium quality, authentic Chyangra cashmere wool. All our products are Chyangra Pashmina Trademark certified.
Our materials are locally sourced and hand-loomed by highly skilled artisans. Nepal has a long-established, hundreds of years old tradition for manufacturing shawls and scarves from cashmere wool. Our vision is to bring the finest of this authentic, traditional craftsmanship to our customers all around the world.
The core of our business is based on fair trade principles and sustainability. According to that, we carefully choose our working partners among smaller scale local suppliers and manufacturers, who are able to meet our standards on providing proper working conditions for employees, decent salaries, gender equity, banning of child labor, and environmental consciousness. We work closely with our suppliers and are thus able to monitor all the steps of the manufacturing processes on a regular basis.
This ensures that individuals, families and entire communities in Nepal are able to uphold a decent livelihood, and makes us able to contribute in preserving the ancient craft and traditional techniques of hand-woven cashmere shawls.
Our shawls are hand-dyed with environment friendly, natural, azo-free colors.
